Many users have questions about using the COMFAST WiFi Amplifier. To help you better understand and use the product, we’ve compiled the following FAQs and detailed answers:
1. After setting up the COMFAST WiFi Amplifier, if I unplug it or experience a power outage, do I need to reconfigure it?
No. The COMFAST WiFi Amplifier has a configuration save feature. After the initial setup, the previous configuration will be saved even if it’s unplugged or experiences a power outage. Only when you manually restore the amplifier to factory settings will the previous configuration be cleared, requiring a reconfiguration.
2. I already have a wireless router from another brand at home. Can I use the COMFAST WiFi Amplifier to relay the signal?
Yes. The COMFAST WiFi Amplifier is highly compatible and can relay wireless signals from most major wireless router brands. However, it’s important to note that using it with a COMFAST brand wireless router will achieve even better signal transmission stability and efficiency, providing a better user experience.
3. Will my internet speed increase after using a COMFAST WiFi booster?
The core function of a COMFAST WiFi booster is to expand wireless signal coverage and address network blind spots caused by insufficient signal coverage. It does not directly increase internet speed. Your internet speed depends primarily on factors such as your network provider’s bandwidth, the performance of your wireless router, and the amount of interference in your network environment.
4. How far can the COMFAST WiFi booster’s signal extend, and what is its approximate coverage area?
Typically, a COMFAST WiFi booster can extend the signal to an area of approximately 70-120 square meters. If you need wider coverage, we recommend adding more boosters. Using multiple boosters together can achieve even better coverage. It’s important to note that different usage environments will affect signal range. For example, in environments with obstructions such as load-bearing walls, signal propagation will be hindered, potentially limiting coverage to a single room.
5. If my home has multiple rooms, is a single COMFAST WiFi booster sufficient to meet my signal coverage needs?
This depends on your home’s specific layout and area. If your home has many rooms and a complex layout, using just one COMFAST WiFi amplifier may not provide comprehensive signal coverage in all rooms. To ensure a stable wireless signal in every room, we recommend adding multiple amplifiers based on your home’s specific environment, achieving comprehensive signal coverage through the coordinated operation of multiple amplifiers.
