The Shanxi International Trade Grand Hotel is the first foreign-oriented tourist hotel in Shanxi Province built according to five-star standards. The hotel features two main towers, each with 42 floors, housing a total of 398 suites and guest rooms. It is equipped with multiple specialty restaurants, multifunctional conference halls, and fitness and leisure areas. As a high-end hotel, its wireless network is not just a basic service facility but also a crucial component of the guest experience and brand image.
The hotel’s original wireless network utilized wireless routers for coverage, which, during actual operation, exposed numerous issues such as difficult device management, slow network speeds, unstable connections, and frequent dropouts. This setup failed to meet the service standards of a five-star hotel. To thoroughly resolve these network pain points, the hotel management, after extensive research and stringent evaluation, ultimately entrusted COMFAST Henan Operation Center – Freeman Technology with the task of reconstructing and optimizing the hotel’s entire wireless network, fully adopting COMFAST series wireless network equipment.

1. Precision Coverage in Diverse Scenarios: The hotel environment is complex, containing densely partitioned guest room areas and high-traffic public areas (restaurants, conference halls). It requires selecting suitable AP products based on the characteristics of different scenarios and planning deployments scientifically to minimize co-channel interference.
2. High-Standard Network Experience Requirements: It is essential to provide all guests with a high-speed, stable, and smooth wireless network to meet needs like business work and audio-visual entertainment, thereby maintaining the five-star hotel’s brand reputation.
3. Non-Destructive Construction and Rapid Deployment: The hotel remains in normal operation, demanding a short construction cycle. Equipment installation must be aesthetically pleasing and discreet, without damaging the existing high-end decor.
4. Centralized Operation and Management Needs: A large number of network devices require support for unified control to achieve efficient post-deployment maintenance, status monitoring, and troubleshooting.
5. Network Security and Privacy Protection: As a public service venue, a reliable network security system must be established to safeguard guest internet safety and corporate data privacy.
6. Business Value Expansion Potential: The network needs to possess marketing function extensibility, supporting the hotel in brand promotion, customer interaction, and service value addition, creating a personalized online service system.
Deployment Plan
The project team conducted a comprehensive on-site survey of the hotel environment and its original network architecture, formulating precise coverage strategies tailored to the characteristics of different areas:
1. Guest Room Area Coverage: COMFAST new-generation in-wall panel APs (Model CF-E536N) were deployed inside all guest rooms, achieving “one AP per room” dedicated coverage. This device is easy to install, requires no additional wiring, and integrates seamlessly into the room’s environment. While providing stable, high-speed signals, it completely solves the problems of traditional routers being prone to loss and difficult to manage.
2. Conference and Dining Area Coverage: For public areas with high traffic and open spaces like meeting rooms and specialty restaurants, COMFAST high-performance dual-band ceiling-mount APs were selected for coverage. This product series features high client capacity and strong anti-interference capabilities, fully ensuring a good user experience in high-concurrency scenarios.
3. Corridor and Public Area Coverage: In public areas such as hotel corridors, COMFAST 300Mbps ceiling-mount APs (Model CF-E320N) were deployed. This device offers stable performance and supports seamless roaming, ensuring guests receive continuous, uninterrupted network connectivity while moving.
